Carecoins was created with a single mission in mind: to make therapy accessible and affordable for all.
A message from Tim and Manuela
When we started Carecoins, we kept coming back to one thought: when someone finds the courage to ask for help, we want there to be someone there to listen.
Life can be difficult, and it isn’t always easy to tell the people around you how you’re really feeling. Sometimes, even finding the words can feel overwhelming. We wanted to make that first step towards support a little easier.
There’s a story we love, along with our team at Red Umbrella, about someone returning stranded starfish to the sea, one at a time. They cannot reach every starfish on the beach, but each one they help matters.
That story stays with us because it captures something we feel deeply. We cannot take away every difficulty someone faces, but we can listen, care and help them find support. The difference that makes to one person is worth every effort.

Who we are
We’re a small but passionate team of people who understand the impact mental health can have on individuals, families and communities, because of our own personal mental health journeys.
What we do
We aim to bring support for mental health into the mainstream, to make it accessible when and where you need it, without lengthy waiting lists while removing as many barriers as possible.
Why we do it
We believe nobody should struggle with their mental health alone. Looking after our mental health should be as normal as looking after your physical health, and diverse and unique support should be available to all.
The Starfish Story
A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement.
She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!”
The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied,
“Well, I made a difference for that one!”
The old man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.
